PETER PAN IN KENSINGTON GARDENS FIRST UK EDITION, FIRST PRINTING BY J.M. BARRIE ILLUSTRATED WITH 50 STUNNING MOUNTED AND TIPPED-IN COLOR PLATES BY ARTHUR RACKHAM A beautiful example of this title in unrestored condition. First UK Edition, First Printing of PETER PAN IN KENSINGTON GARDENS by J.M. Barrie, and illustrated with 50 mounted color plates (each protected by tissue guards) by Arthur Rackham. Published by Hodder & Stoughton, 1906. The book has the original russet cloth with bright unfaded gilt titles to the front and spine. Very slight touch of mottling to the cloth. The binding is tight and square and the book has no edgewear but very slight to the tips of the corners. The original brown end papers are clean with no owner names, no book plates and no inscriptions. All the 50 color plates are present along with the tissue guards. All are in perfect condition with no stains, no foxing, no handling marks and are crisp and clean. The internal pages are clean with no foxing with the small exception of just a few pages to the front only. A beautiful example of this extremely rare first edition, first issue of Arthur Rackham's most collectible book.
